Talent development and leadership development · Greater Boston
I design leadership capability and scalable learning systems that help organizations grow, adapt, and serve their people well — from a flagship global leadership journey to competency frameworks reused across business units. Now bringing that work home to Greater Boston.
Biography
My story
I’m a talent and leadership development professional, and from 2011 to 2025 I built people programs at Konica Minolta in Tokyo. I grew up in Greater Boston and studied biology at Tufts University, but a Japanese class there changed the direction of my life, and I ended up spending most of my career abroad.
I moved through five roles at the company, starting in translation and facilitation and growing into corporate training, executive program coordination, diversity and inclusion, and instructional design. The work I’m proudest of are two programs: a six-month global leadership journey I designed for managers-of-managers and high-potential leaders, and a women’s leadership development program called Women2Lead.
Engagement · three levels of stakes
Nobody is a spectator
- Personal Her own assessment data and individual development plan are on the table.
- Peer Cohorts built as communities — alumnae mentor the next cohort.
- Organizational A CHRO sponsor, with growth commitments presented directly to the CEO.
Over about five years of assessment-based development, I worked with a Hogan-based competency framework we adapted with IMD (International Institute for Management Development, based in Lausanne, Switzerland), along with MBTI, and I’m certified in Lumina, a personality assessment and development tool. Across my wider learning programs we reached more than two thousand employees, I helped senior leaders build over two hundred competency-mapped development plans, and my broader work has impacted up to 25,000 people in the 40,000 person organization.
Living in Japan shaped how I work: patient, cross-cultural, and comfortable building trust slowly. While I was there I served as co-chair of the Tufts Alumni Association’s Japan Chapter and Chair of Democrats Abroad. Recently, my family and I relocated to Greater Boston to pursue opportunities in the area.
These days I’m taking a hands-on approach to learning AI development and AI literacy, and I expect to earn my Certified Instructional Design Professional credential in 2026. And, as a next step, I will pursue a master’s in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning and a graduate certificate in Organization Development at Boise State University in 2027. I’m currently looking for a manager or senior manager role where I can build leadership capability and learning systems that genuinely help people and the organizations they work in.
